Find, Fund, Cure: cureLauncher will save lives!
Just when I thought I had seen everything online, I recently discovered a brand new concept: Crowdsource funding for medical research! cureLauncher.com is an amazing concept. It is like Kickstarter for researchers. Like other funding sites, cureLauncher.com hosts projects looking for direct donations from the public. However, these projects are not just video games, book deals and independent movies. cureLauncher.com is interested in medical research! I can now be sure that my money is going to important cures. When I donate to cancer research, I want to know that my hard earned money is contributing to the best minds in the field. Now, I am confident that my dollars are helping stop the terrible diseases threatening humanity. Last Christmas, my paternal grandmother was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer. It was not caught fast enough and so it cannot be surgically removed. The doctors are hoping that they can use a combination of chemo and radiation therapies, but their HOPE is not good enough for me! I want assurances! I want to donate to cancer research that will work. Someday, I hope no one will have to experience the terrible fear and sadness of having such a surprise diagnosis. I appreciate watching videos of actual research specialists like Dr. Lee Roy Morgan. I want to hear their background and their pitches for funding. cureLauncher.com gives me a lot more say in what avenues should be explored. I can even choose to concentrate my funding on general medical research or clinical trials! WOW!
